The Wiener Library is open to the general public. You are welcome to study our books, documents and photos in our reading room free of charge.
It is not necessary to make an appointment or become a member in order to study the materials available.
However, all first time visitors are required to bring the following: - Non-student visitors must bring some form of photographic ID together with proof of address
- Students using the Library for the first time must bring some form of photographic ID and a letter of introduction from their tutor or employer.
The Reading Room is open each weekday from 10.00am to 5.15pm. The last call for material is at 4.45pm. The majority of material in the Reading Room is available on open access. Readers are welcome to use as many of these books as they like and can leave them on the tables to be reshelved by the Library staff. Fragile material, duplicates and rare books are located on the top three shelves of the Reading Room and elsewhere in the Library. Readers can request this material using call slips. If you would like further information please see our pages on Becoming a Member and Library Services. |
