Photocopying

A coin-operated photocopier is available on the premises. Permission to photocopy material depends on its physical condition, copyright and/or whether it falls into the category of restricted materials.

Restricted materials
The following materials may only be copied by Wiener Library staff:

• Very large heavy books
• Loose materials such as press cuttings
• Any item published prior to 1960
• Unpublished material
• Fragile items
• Pamphlets

Some materials may not be photocopied at all.

Photocopying by reader	10p	20p
Photocopying by staff	30p	50p
Printing out from microfilm	30p	50p

Document Delivery

Copyright restrictions
No more than 5% or one article of any published item may be copied. Staff will restrict the number of pages to be photocopied from any item to 5%.

Procedure
To request material to be photocopied by staff a photocopy request form has to be filled out.

Payment
A flat fee of £1 or €1.50 per page applies.  This fee includes the cost of copying and delivery. Payment has to be made in advance, in cash or by cheque made out to Wiener Library Ltd. in Pound Sterling or by using our PayPal account (click here to make a payment by PayPal). Alternatively payment in Euros may be transferred to our German account - contact the library for details. We will try to post the requested copies within a week but we cannot guarantee this.

Microfilm readers

Two microfilm readers are available on site.


Other resources

The internet is available via our public access computers in the reading room.

Recordings of our lectures are available to our Friends for borrowing and others can listen to them on site.


Digital cameras

Use of a digital camera (no tripod, no flash) is permitted.  You must provide your own camera.  The flat fee is £5 per day.  Use is subject to the condition of the material.  You must complete and sign a form for Photocopying Unpublished Material if you wish to photograph documents.  Published material can only be photographed within the copyright restrictions.


Borrowing books

Only Members or Friends of the Wiener Library may borrow books.
