The Wiener Holocaust Library is one of the world’s leading and most extensive archives on the Holocaust, the Nazi era and genocide. The Library’s unique collection of over one million items includes published and unpublished works, press cuttings, photographs and eyewitness testimony.

Current opening hours and important visitor information

The Library is open Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm.

The Library is closed on Bank Holidays.

Due to essential works being carried out in the week commencing Monday 8 April, there may be some noise disruption in the Library at that time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Closure Notices

The Library will open later, at 11am, on Wednesday 17 April

On Thursday 9 May we will close at 2pm

On Friday 10 May we will be closed all day

The Exhibition will be closed all day on Wednesday 15 May and the Reading Room will open later, at 11am
